MSP430-FR5739 Not Detected by IAR

Good evening,

I'm working on a project in IAR using an MSP-430-FR5739. It's been working just fine until tonight. IAR is no longer detecting my board.

When I download & debug in IAR, I get three errors:

Fatal error: Failed to initialize the device. Session aborted!

Fatal error: Unknown exception in driver (#M2) Session aborted!

Failed to load debugee: [address of .d43 file]

Windows DOES recognize the board, as per the screenshot. I have the same result on multiple computers with IAR. This was working earlier this afternoon... is there anything I'm missing here?

Are you using the MSP-EXP430FR5739 board or the MSP-FET430UIF debugger?

The problem Zach has pointed out is a problem one others from my class have had happen. Notice in is screen captures that the

Device Manager >> Ports shows a "TUSB3410 Device (COM??)"

It looks as if the programming interface has lost its code. I have searched for solutions of how to reprogram, but have not found any. If someone has been able to restore the FR5739 Experimenter board Programming interface, please direct me to the solution.

The TUSB3410 loads its special firmware from an I2C EEprom chip. If this firmware is damaged, the chip will fall back to a default firmware. The FET is still reachable but CCS won't recognize it. The EEprom can be updated/restored through the FET. IIRC, there is a PC software. I remember an old thread where this process was described, but you must search it yourself.
