IAR EW430: Unknown device : (OpenDevice) , Device=MSP430F6779, PwLength=0x0

Hello,

 

We've started to use MSP430F6779 with IAR EW430, and I am trying to enter debug mode.

The board is powered up using an external Vcc, and I am using Spy-Bi-Wire interface, and a MSP-FET430UIF debugger.

I manage to program the chip with an external utility, so I assume this configuration is sufficient(interface, programmer, cable, Vcc).

 

When I try to enter debug mode from IAR, I get the following error:

Firmware version 30301004

Interface dll version 3.3.1.4

Unknown device : (OpenDevice) , Device=MSP430F6779, PwLength=0x0

Fatal error: Could not find device (or device not supported)  

Session aborted!
