Linux MSP430 linux flash programmer

I would like to flash an MSP430 without using CCS's debugging feature. I am using Ubuntu 14.04 and an MSP430-FET.  I found a wiki page that claims to provide a shell-based interface for programming MSP430 devices here: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/MSP430_Flasher_-_Command_Line_Programmer?DCMP=MSP430&HQS=Other+OT+msp430flasher
The software that comes from the download that causes a segmentation fault. The download file is a binary file. Is it possible to create a new binary for 14.04? Or can you release the source code? The wiki states this project is open source.
Any other programs would be appreciated. Smart RF flash programmer for Linux would be nice.
