MSP430F5659 PUR pin

Hello 

I am using MSP430F5659 for USB application. PUR pin is used for enabling the pull up on D+ usb line.

We have made usb connections as mentioned in USER GUIDE SLAA457A page 14.

On power on it is input for sensing the BSL mode and after that it is out put high for enabling the pull up(1.4k) on D+ line.

But in datasheet PUR pin is mentioned as OPEN DRAIN line. 

How can it become high ? Should we add one more pull up on this line ?
