Your suspicions are correct, LPMx.5 debug is only possible with FR58xx/FR59xx/FR68xx/FR69xx family of devices.

On some of the older devices that support LPMx.5 the JTAG support wasn't there to enable support for debug mode, so even though the F5432 can enter LPMx.5 it is unable to debug in this mode. This is a hardware issue (which has been fixed for the newer FRAM devices) that cannot be corrected by the IDE, hence the JTAG26 errata explaining why LPMx.5 debug is not possible on some devices that support LPMx.5.
