How do we deal with MSP430F5324IRGC Heat pad?

Does the heat pad on the backside of F5324IRGC have to be connected to the ground?

I can not find out the pad information on the datasheet except the following infomation.

Hello ay0689,

The thermal pad must be soldered directly to the PCB, to be used as a heatsink, and is typically accomplished through a ground plane. Dimensions and a board layout example are supplied in the last three pages of the Datasheet, which I suspect you've already found.

Is MSP430F5324 thermal PAD internally connected to GND terminals (DVSS1 and DVSS2) ?
