The UART block of the msp430f5529 is not worked please help me i am connecting the esp8266 wifi module to this board but the UART Channel is not worked

I have to work on the projects but problem is that I have interfaces esp8266 wifi module.This module is connected to the UART of the msp430f5529 but this UART are not given any responses .Do you have any program related to the UART please Send me.I use Energia software in that there is no any software serial library .You have to use this Energia
