MSP432P401R: Example Code on how to Hardware Invoke BSL

Hi,

according to this document i can invoke BSL by pull UP/Down a GPIO Bin after reseting the MCU.

What i didt not found is an example on how to override the FlashMailbox. Here is the document of "4.8.6.2 Boot Override Through Flash Mailbox".

Is the BSL Part already by default flashed in MSP432 or do i have to flash it first?

Hi Michael,

The BSL already exists on the MSP432. You are not required to program it in.

Michael,
I want to make sure I understand correctly. In the document you posted, you have a detailed example on how to use a GPIO to hardware invoke a BSL in Section 4.3.2 Hardware BSL Invocation.
However it sounds like what you are looking for is an example of how to setup the mailbox command with BSL_Params?
Did I get that right?

yes what i dont understand is:
"The user must populate the mailbox commandof BSL_PARAMS ..."

How do i populate the mailbox? Is there an example code showing this?

Hi Michael,

Please take a look at this Application Report - http://www.ti.com/lit/slaa659. In here there is an example on how to configure the HW invocation using the flash mailbox.
