MSP430F5529: USB firmware update using TI visual studio project

Part Number: MSP430F5529

I am trying to develop a windows program that provides field firmware updating capabilities. I understand that TI provides an example code written in visual studio 2008
Link: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

But when I tried to import it into Visual Studio 2017, all the directories files are missing and it couldn't compile. Could you advise me on how I can get it to compile again on Visual Studio 2017? IT would be extremely helpful for the project I am working on.

  • Hello,

The errors you have here are more than likely associated with the differences between Visual Studio 2008 vs 2017. The Visual Studio version is no longer supported. We moved to a Python version in order to simplify updates. I would advise to use the Python tool instead.
