MSP430I2041: ADC Gain error for x2 and x4: is it zero?

pg 23 of slas887.pdf states that the ADC gain error for 1, 8 and 16 is +/- 2%. It does not list error for 2 or 4; does that mean one can expect gain error of 0% for those gain settings?

Hi Brad,

No, not listing errors for a gain of 2 or 4 does not mean that you can expect a gain error of 0%. I expect the gain error to be in a similar magintude to gains of 1, 8 and 16.
As this is currently not specified in the data sheet let me check if I can get a more detailed information on the gain error for a gain of 2 and 4 respectively.

Hi Brad,

this is likely to be updated in the datasheet as well. In the meantime you can go ahead with your application as the gain error for a gain of 2 and 4 respectively is within the limits of +/- 2 % (equivalent to 1,8,16).
