CCS/MSP-EXP430FR5969: Error when launching program

I've encountered a problem when launching a program onto the launchpad. Please see the below screenshot. I'm using CCS version 7.01

Previously it worked very well. But lately I've used the onboard EZ-FET to launch the program onto another MSP430FR5969 target on my PCB. The first times it worked. I followed exactly the instruction at page 15, " Using the eZ-FET Emulator With a Different Target" with 6-wire connected between the launchpad and the target, including V+, GND, SBWTDIO (connected to pin RST of the target), SBWTCK (connected to pin TEST of the target). EZFET-UARTRXD (connected to TXD of the target), EZFET-UARTTXD (to the target TXD). For the first time, it did work. But then, I could not launch any program onto even the on-board MCU of the launchpad!

I lost the micro-usb cable of the pad long time ago, so I replaced it by the charging cable of my cell phone. It seems compatible because I successfully launched the program several times before that problem.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Ah I need to correct the version of CCS. It is version 7.1.0.00016. Thank you for your time.

Hi Mitch,

Still not yet. I'm trying to reinstall the CCS (got the latest version 8.0) and locate a new work space. I'm downloading an example to see if it works or not. Any suggestion?

Hey Minh,

Can you include a link to the document you are looking at? Also, try to disconnect and then reconnect the power to the device before you download the program onto the board.

Hi Mitch,

The document is the MSP-EXP 430FR5969 user's guide (slau535b). Yes I did disconnect and reconnect the device but the problem is still there. I've searched on TI forum and it seems the problem is caused by a corrupted workspace. After reinstalling CCS v8 and choosing a new workspace, now I get stuck with the compiler, where the project can not be built (see the screenshot below). I'm installing MSPware 3.60.0.10 manually. But I still wonder why the latest version of MSPware, which was installed together with CCS v8 , does not compatible with that one, and why my project needs exactly that version of MSPware. Could you please explain this to me? Thank you for your kind support.

Hey Minh,

Are you installing CCS on any other path besides the default path?

One thing I'd also like you to look at:
1. Right click on your project in CCS and go to Properties.
2. Select the "General" tab to the right and click on the "Products" tab toward the middle of the window.
3. There should be an "MSP430Ware" tab. Can you drop this down and tell me what versions are listed?

Dear Mitch,

Thank you so much for your instruction. I found out why my problem still remained. The MSP430ware version 3.60 was not checked in the "Products" tab as you told, although I already added it in "Windows" -- "Preferences" - "Products". That solved my problem. I'll test the loading program part into my MCU and let you know whether because of CCS or my configuration.
