MSP430F5419A: Noise on TEST pin

What would you expect to be the result of a noisy TEST pin on the MSP430F5419A?

Could this feasibly cause flash to be erased or corrupted?

Hi Chris,

the TEST pin is indeed a critical pin when it comes to noise. The TEST pin has an internal pull down of typ 60kOhm. If long traces are connected on the board, external noise (esp. from a bigger motor like a vacuum cleaner) can couple in and cause TEST to go high putting it into SBW mode. So there are certain scenarios where unexpected behaviour can occur. As of now we haven't seen a FLASH corruption yet though.

What kind of error have you seen?
Are there longer traces on the board for programming the device?
