I am using CCS 8.2.0 and SDK 2.30.00.14. I don't use anything. I just trying to measure only board current consumption. Aslo board is becoming significantly hot, no matter what program is loaded. It is like that since I bought it.

"With debugger connected" do you mean on board debugger XDS110? or external?

The board getting hot is not a good sign. That tells me that something is wrong either with the board or how it is being powered. Can you confirm that you are powering it up using the USB connector, that is provided on the board?

I meant XDS110, when I said "With debugger connected".

Can you confirm which exercise you are referring to? The SimpleLink academy example is intended for the SimpleLink MSP432P401R LaunchPad which does not include an LCD.

Hello,

   Can you test a low power example to see if the device is functioning correctly?  If it consumes too much current, more than 5uA with debugger disconnected, then look for a damaged pin.  You can set all of GPIO to output high and see if any of the pins are not at DVDD.  This will help determine which pins, if any, are damaged.

I run the example you linked. EnergyTrace still not working. after that I set all PIN High, power is provided from laptop with provided USB micro cable and here are results:

The most significant difference is on pin 30 - 2.85V. after I finished measurements (with multimeter) I restarted the board and voltage on all pins are different, voltages are not equal and difference is quite similar to chart above.

Thank you for the detailed information. It would appear that the IO has been damaged. In the low power measurement example, the outputs are put into an output low configuration. In order to lower the current you could try several alternative configurations to see if you can reduce how much power is lost in the damaged pin(s).

Output High
Input with internal pullup
Input with internal pulldown

If the low power measurement is critical, then I would recommend acquiring another board.

Thank you Chris for advice, but Low power Modes are critical for me. I already bought board and suddenly it appeared to be damaged and now I need to buy another one? I kindly want to say that this damage is not my responsibility I can't afford another board.
