Hi All,

I'm working on a project where I have 2 individual devices MSP432P4 and CC32xx(CC3200/ CC3220) running different host applications. I'm able to OTA update the firmware of CC32xx.

Is it possible to use CC32xx to OTA update the firmware of MSP432 Device? If yes, how it could be deployed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Alexis,

The first link, that you have shared is for OTA via bluetooth. But I'm looking for update via Wi-Fi.

In the second link, the OTA is carried out by CC3120 (i.e. NWP) but my query is how to get OTA on MSP432 with CC3200/CC3220.

Hi Keshav,

What is the interface between the MSP432 and the CC3220?

The CC3220 can get the new MSP432 image as a user file within the the wi-fi OTA-image. Following a successful Wi-Fi OTA, the MSP432 image will be stored in the CC3220 file system.

The MSP432 can then read the content (if you are using the AT_CMD interface, this can be done through file system read, otherwise through a dedicated API) and trigger the update on the MSP432 side (same procedure as defined when downloading the image over BT).

2. What AT_CMD interface you are talking about? and Is it available in CC3200?

AT CMD support is available for cc3220. It can be ported back to CC3200 (but this is NOT on our roadmap).

Now, I can get the firmware file from CC3200 via UART. Could you guide me How I can set up that file as a new firmware image of MSP432?
