Hi,

I am developing Water meter application in MSP430FR6047. currently the application is 95% developed.

I have used MSP430FR6047_EVM_Water_demo_code as a startup code. currently My code size is 75K and data is about 7.5K.

I have also referred MSP430FR6043 datasheet and price. The MSP430FR6043 is similar to MSP430FR6047 but having less pin count and much cheaper than MSP430FR6047.

I want to use MSP430FR6043 for Water meter application. can you please suggest can the water meter application fit in MSP430FR6043 as its memory is only 64K.

or the USS library footprint for MSP430FR6043 is much smaller than MSP430FR6047.(how much memory in MSP430FR6043 available for user program if we use USS library )

If the code can fit into the 64kB memory, it is no problem to use MSP430FR6043 for water meter application. You can configure the USS library with simple user code and compile it. Then you can see how much memory used by the USS library and how much memory available for user code.

Hi Lixin,

Please let me know how to configure USS library with simple user code.

If I compile the code with USS library with simple user code setting then can I use "Ultrasonic sensing design centre" application to configure and test device.

Hi Suhas,

When you download the water meter application code. You should find there are two projects. One is for FR6047 and the other is for FR6043. You can use that application code for start up.
