The number of externally available channels should be in the selection guide. However, the selection guide is far from being complete or error-free. Well, it may have improved since I last checked (and posted a large list of obvious errors)
(btw: which one did you check? There are two different; one MSP specific and one with other processors too, both with a different database)

I am looking for an Automotive part (which has nothing listed for ADC Channels) or a high temperature part (+105DegC) that has 16 x External ADC Channels.

The T version of MSP430F22x2 or MSP430F22x4 have 12 channel at 10 bit of resolution. As already stated by Gross, you will never get more than 12 free channels as some are internally routed.

I have found some with 14 External ADC Channels.

Only on first glance. Two of the channels are internally connected to the reference voltage system (the pins are the Veref+/Veref- inputs). So they are no full-featured external ADC inputs.
