MSP430's on-chip LCD controller related

Hi,

There are many MSP430 parts which give on-chip LCD controller. But most commercial LCDs come with their own LCD controllers. (Most of them with HD44780)

Does anyone know any vendor that gives LCD without local controller and can be directly connected to MSP430's on chip controller? Or are such LCDs custom made?
