Hi,

We are using "TIDMTHREEPHASEMETER-F6779" source code for 3Phase 4Wire Energy Meter development. In our source code we need to support DLMS protocol to communicate with CMRI unit.

We would like to know whether "TIDMTHREEPHASEMETER-F6779" source code has support for DLMS protocol ?.If not we need the DLMS protocol source code for our development.

Please let us know any reference source code available from TI.

Have you referenced the DLMSOBJ-EVAL software and considered applying this library to the TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 source code?

Thanks for your response.

As mentioned earlier we are using TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 source code for our development. In that source code, in emeter-communication.c file there is one macro "#if defined(IEC62056_21_SUPPORT)" is used.

Since this macro is available in that file, we assumed with TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 source code we can implement DLMS / COSEM Porotocol.

In your response you are asking us whether we are referencing DLMSOBJ-EVAL software library and planing to apply this library to TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 source code ?.

Currently we have not referenced DLMSOBJ-EVAL software library.

Please provide clarification for the below mentioned.

1. Whether with TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 source code alone can we implement DLMS/COSEM protocol ?.

2. Else we need to reffer DLMSOBJ-EVAL software library and apply TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 source code ?.

Being a library, the DLMSOBJ-EVAL is designed for integration into a metering application such as the TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 source code. I will try to bring in an author of the DLMSOBJ-EVAL to further comment on what is required to integrate the two resources.

Hi Mohan,

TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 & DLMSOBJ-EVAL are two separate offerings from TI.

DLMS library is not integrated into TIDM-THREEPHASEMETER-F6779 source code.

If you want to use both these libraries then you have to integrate them on your on by referring to their corresponding user guides.
