CCS/MSP430FR2355: Read data through ADC and display on SSD1306 driver oled through i2c

Hello,

I am trying to interface OLED based on SSD1306 driver to read data from ADC channel P1.1/A1. I have found some example code for the arduino environment energia but nothing for the MSP430 that uses the Code Composer Studio environment. It is a pretty common driver chip for the OLED displays so I thought that there would be some readily available CCS examples out there, but I'm finding nothing. I am using MSP430FR2355 launchpad. Can anybody steer me in the right direction for learning how to use the SSD1306 with the launchpad? Or share something they have written which uses the SSD1306? The one I have uses SPI with 4 pin GND VCC SCL and SDA.

Hi SOURAV,

As described in the datasheet, SSD1306 supports I2C and SPI communication, In order to communicate with SSD1306, you can refer to our code example, including I2C, SPI, ADC and other modules you may use.

Dear Sir,

You have given a database of all codes. I want to learn programming MSP430 in Code composer studio for different applications. So I need your help to make me understand different Register initialization, bit operations and interrupt subroutines. I am a high school boy and new comer in field of programming microcontrollers. Pls help me to write C++ code for this application.

Hi SOURAV,

MSP430FR2355 internal registers can be found from the user's guide. If you need to communicate with the SSD1306, you need to use the SPI register or the I2C register. You also need to know the internal registers of the SSD1306 and how to operate them， such as : command code and other formats, our User's guide for your reference:
