Hi Team,

I am using TM4C123BE6PM and MSP430FR59941 devices in two different projects. Currently i am using EK-TM4C123GXL evaluation kit along with UNIFLASH for flashing TM4C device and MSP430FR59941 launchpad development kit along with UNIFLASH for flashing MSP430FR59941 device. For ease of flashing in production i want to use only one tool which can flash both devices.

Let me know if any such device is available.

Hello Anup,

By tool do you mean a debug probe? Because Uniflash software should be a single software you can use for both.

In addition to what Ralph said, you can use the Uniflash in command line mode for your production programming. Check out this below wiki link.

Yes. Tool to flash/dump the image. Not uniflash as it is just a GUI .

Ok. But what is the tool/device to be used along with Uniflash for both TM4C and MSP430 MCU'S.

Hi,
Perhaps I'm still not clear with what you are looking for. If you are using Uniflash then the PC plus the JTAG debug probe is your hardware device and the uniflash is your software tool. Don't you have JTAG interface on your production board? I will always recommend your final custom board with JTAG connector. If you don't have the JTAG interface on your board then you will need to use the bootloader method.

Here i was asking for JTAG debug prode - hardware device which i can use as common for both TM4C123 and MSP430.

For example, currently i am usign EK-TM4C123GXL evaluation board as hardware device for TM4C123 and MSP430FR5994 launchpad development kit as hardware device for MSP430FR. What is a common hardware device that i can use for both ?

Hello Anup,

I understand what you are seeking. Unfortunately we do not have such a solution. The MSP430 programming is different from ARM cores, so a general ARM core programmer such as XDS200 or J-Link cannot be used for MSP430. The inverse is true as well where the MSP-FET cannot program TM4C ARM core MCU's. So there is no single tool that can program both TM4C123 and MSP430, you will need two separate debug probes and then use Uniflash as the software for both.
