kindly help to resolve this issue

  • yes i have the same error. Dont know what causes it. Can someone help?

  • Hi Isuru,

What is the exact process you are using to open the project in CCS?  Have you verified that the hello.out file is located in the C:\StellarisWare\boards\ek-lm4f120xl\hello\ccs\Debug directory?  Have you modified any path parameters in the CCS configuration?

    Regards,

    Sue

  • im following the video series of Scott Bland. Its very good. He teaches everything. If you are at TI and if you meet him, please give him my best regards for making such a series so we can learn this.

its simply great to use as a guidance.

CCS gives some errors that we sometimes have no idea as to what causes it. May be because im new i encounter those errors.

I sometimes press the Debug (the bug button) and go into the debugging mode and i find the debugging mode not working sometimes.

Another that I've found is that the same work space cannot be used for a new project. well may be this is done for a reason.

another major one is that CCS crashes. I use genuine win7 professional and Code Composer Studio Version: 5.2.1.00018.

After all i am still a beginner and i encounter these issues due to that but if you know any way to remedy these please let me know.

    thanks

  • i started using keil. works great..

  • after many painful hours working away on this, i figured it out, in ccs5, the default opens only the ARM Compiler in the properties menu, and the ARM Linker is under advanced settings where you need to add the paths

i know this post is old and likely resolved, but may help a new user down the road

  • Even I faced the same problem. I spent countless number of hours in this. Later I stared editing the sample program and it worked fine.

You can also fix this issue by changing the destination of the .out file.

  • I also have the same problem. The thing is that i cannot find a .out file for my project. No .out file is created and i cannot find it anywhere in my computer. I am also following the workshop material but my program fails when im trying to debud and it complains because there s no .out file.

    Please help, im desperate!

    Kind regards

  • Hi,

If you don't find out the .out file, this means you have compiler/linker errors - don't rush to debug until you will see compiling/linking without any errors. Take a look at the messages received into console tab - start a new post and tell us what is wrong (messages received).

  • Hi all,

If somebody encountered the same problem, running the CCS5 as administrator solved the problem to me.
