DRV8256: Overcurrent Protection and recover mode

Part Number: DRV8256
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8874

Hi MD teams

As DRV8874 have out of stock I am helping customer to replace it with DRV8256. (QFN package)

Few questions need to be figure it out:

  1.  I want to double confirm that DRV8256 will be latched rather than keep trying to recover like DRV8874?
  2. After DRV8256 latched for OCP event, giving a short reset pulse (longer than 20us shorter than 40us) is that right?
  3. As we changing from HTTSOP to QFN package, will thermal performance much worse with same PCB layout? I checked the datasheet the thermal parameter is in the same level for DRV8874(HTSSOP) AND DRV8256(QFN). But I didn't test in prototype yet.
