DRV10983: The motor will make a sound similar to braking

Hi Team,

When the motor is running normally, the PWM mode is adopted. Customer said:

When the PWM duty is reduced from 70% or less than 70% to 0% Duty, there will be a sound like "clang", the sound is very small, there will be motor noise. Then it stopped slowly.

There will be no sound after switching to 2% duty or above.

There is no sound during slowing down.

Would you help to check this case?

Hi Annie,

Please send over the EEPROM settings so I can look at these.

Does this clang noise happen when the duty cycle is above 70%? it only happens from 2%-70%?

Have you tried this on multiple motors?

Hi Michael,

It doesn't happen when the duty cycle is above 70%, it only happens with low duty.

Every motor has this problem.
