Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8353
Hi The DRV8353S is out of stock, and I'm considering going to the DRV8353F. I had designed around the DRV8353S. Are the two ICs pin compatible. What is the difference between the two.
Thank you

Summarizing the discussion:
DRV8353F and DRV8353 are not exactly the same. However they are similar enough where I believe you can get away with using the DRV8353F in places where DRV8353 is currently designed in. Please note that I would not recommend going the other way around. If the DRV8353F was currently used, I would not recommend using DRV8353.
DRV8353F and DRV8353 are P2P and there should be no layout differences between the two.
Make sure to confirm the price of both DRV8353F and DRV8353, to make sure the device meets your expectations.
Unless you are specifically implementing functional safety (i.e. safe torque off), I do not think that you would need to re-validate your design if you go back to the DRV8353.
Thanks,
Matt
