Part Number: DRV8889-Q1

Dear Sirs,

The EVM GUI cannot launch.

Normally, the runtime block will appear in task after launch GUI software!

However, I cannot find it after run GUI software.

Either Nwjs nor Node.js!!

The photo was captured from no problem NB, but My NB just cannot run it.

Pease help!

Hi Sir,

This is what I post.

I went to processor forum and created new post, however when I choose TI part, it was transferred to motor driver forum automatically.

I got feedback from GUI composer team:

RuntimeBroker is a standard windows process, it is not part of any GUI Composer component and GC does not rely on this component directly. What Is “Runtime Broker” and Why Is It Running on My PC? (howtogeek.com) Based on the information in the article for some apps(according to article only apps published through Microsoft store, which GC is not part of, but maybe this process is more generic) it deals with application security permissions.

When installer runs, it asks for Admin privileges thus any child processes that it spawns (including running DRV app after installation) should inherit those elevated privileges. Hence I wonder if the issue has to do with system permissions. Does the customer have option of trying to run the app as Administrator? (select launcher.exe in windows explorer, right click and select Run as Adminstrator).

If GC app is installed in users home directory, then on windows, I have not really seen an issue running an app due to system permissions.
