DRV8350H-EVM: What is the meaning of HI-Z on VDS pin (DRV8350H)?

Hello Mr or Mrs

I am designing a motor driver by using DRV8350H.

I just wonder that is the differences HI-Z and Floating on VDS pin.

Actually I just floated the VDS pin on my board, but there are not mentioned about 'floating' but only mentioned about 'HI-Z'.

Is it same result between HI-Z and Floating?

If it is not, what is the value of Vds_ocp when the VDS pin is floated?

Hello Younggi,

With regard to hardware settings, in order to set a pin to "Hi-Z", you must float this pin. "Hi-Z" means high impedance. By floating a pin, you are creating an open circuit, and therefore you get a high impedance here (>500kOhm). So yes, you are correct.
