Designing High-Side and 3-Phase Isolator MOSFET Circuits in Motor Apps (ti.com)

Can anyone suggest design resources for selectin the power MOSFET for the switch, in particular if the MOSFET is operated in avalanche mode?

    Hello Nandor,

    In the case of the isolation switch the MOSFET should not be operated in avalanche mode. 

    Most customers select this MOSFET to be the same VDS rating as their 1/2-H bridge MOSFETs. Occasionally, a MOSFET with higher current capability is used.
