DRV8245-Q1: Using outputs in parallel

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to use the outputs in independent mode, connected in parallel to the same load, in order to double the current and get half the RDSOn?

Also, do you have an estimated date for availability in volume?

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for your interest in DRV8425-Q1. In order to connect 2 output in parallel, DRV8425-Q1 has the parallel mode.

Since E2E is technical forum, I would avoid to mention the schedule related. I would like to suggest you to check DRV8245-Q1 status on TI.com a few month later.

Hi Shinya,

Thank you for the answer. But in the preview data sheet table 5-3 it says that parallel mode will be removed in the final product, and to use DRV814X instead. I can't find any reference to this device anywhere.

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for your note. I was referring previous version of datasheet, sorry for confusion. As you pointed out, we are going to remove parallel mode on DRV8425-Q1. Therefor DRV814x-Q1 will be good device if you need high current like parallel mode. DRV814x-Q1 is not available on TI.com yet. I would like to suggest you to check TI.com ~3 month later.
