MCT8316ZTEVM: Communication issue with Control_1 and Control_8 register

After writing «unlock all register» to the Control_1 register I read 0x00 in the Control_8 register but I was expecting 0x41. Shouldn't I be able to see 0x41(Reset) there? or does the 0x00 mean that the Control_8 register is already unlocked?

Hi Alex,

I believe we need to update the datasheet to reflect the correct default values when the device is powered on. Can you check and see if the defaults below are true?

Control 1: 0x00

Control 2: 0x60

Control 3: 0x46

Control 4: 0x10

If so, then your SPI read is working correctly and the default of Control 8 would be 0x00.

Unfortunately, I do not have SPI code to read this register so I cannot confirm it on my end yet, I'll have to check with the team for this default value.
