Dear expert,

Can current flow through Rshunt be both direction? Or has to flow from Spx to SNx direction?

Ryan,

The sense current can flow through Rshunt in both direction if the shunt resistor is not burnt (differential voltage is less than 5.75V).

When the motor is in Coast mode or reverse mode from previous building up current, the shunt resistor could have a reverse current.
