DRV8432 Operation with low ~1kHz PWM Frequency

Hi,

We have an application that requires driving 2 brushed DC motors.  The motor voltage can vary upto 48V and the max continuous current is 5A.  We'd like to drive the DVR8432 with a 1kHz PWM frequency.  This works OK with 12V motors, when we go to 24V motors it seems as though the internal protection becomes active when the duty cycle  is > 80%.  Currently we are using a DRV8402 development board with the DRV8402 replaced with a DRV8432.  I understand we should change the bootstrap capacitors and limit their charging current.  Before we do that I'd like to know if the DRV8432 is suitable for use at this low frequency or does anyone know of a better option.

Thanks, Michael.
