BEMF Unit conversion

Hi Team,

I would like to know how to convert the BEMF parameter Vrms/kRPM given to me by the customer into the V/HZ parameter we want?

Every motor could be different. Please check the BEMF curve with a motor vendor.

Hi Wang,

My understanding is that this only involves the conversion of units, doesn't it? If I know Vrms/Krpm, I may not be able to calculate V/Hz, right? What I can think of should be related to the number of pole pairs of the motor, but there should be a conversion formula. Is my understanding correct?

Jenson,

Are you talking about brushed motor; stepper motor or brushless motor? For a brushed motor, probably yes.

Hi Wang,

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I mean the BLDC motor.Is it the same for BLDC motors?

Jenson,

BLDC may give a sine wave. Please characterize it if you cannot get enough info from the motor vendor.
