DRV8889-Q1: Unused Pins Treatment

Hi team,

Our customer is designing DRV8889-Q1 circuit and STEP/DIR pins will not be used here. They decided to short these pins to GND to keep STEP/DIR voltage stable.

Will there be any issue to let these pins short-to-GND?

    Muwei,

    There is no issue to let these pins short-to-GND. But, I won't recommend using register STEP bit to do the STEP control because the SPI command and interrupt may affect the STEP frequency too much, unless the speed is very low.
