MCT8316Z: Availability of MCT8316Z

Part Number: MCT8316Z

Hello - I am interested in using the MCT8316Z for a new board design and would like to find out when I would be able to buy samples for Engineering boards. I would like to buy 10 parts within a few weeks and be able to buy another 30 within another month or so after that.

  • Hello Randy,

Thank you for your question. I will get back to you with a response tomorrow!

    Best,

    Isaac

  • Hello Randy,

Sorry for the delay on your question. MCT8316Z should be releasing to market in about a day or two, you can sign up for updates on the website to find out when stock becomes available. You may also order prototype parts if you click on this link: PMCT8316Z0TRGFR. If you have not done any evaluation of the device yet you can also do this on the MCT8316ZTEVM, which is available for order.

Keep in mind that the parts that are available at the moment are the hardware version of the device and that SPI variants should be releasing later on in the year. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

    Best,

    Isaac

  • Hi Isaac,

For my application, I was planning to use the SPI version of this part. We can probably start with the Hardware variant and transition to the SPI later on, but would much prefer to start with the SPI version. As you suggest, I have purchased the evaluation board to help prove out the basic functionality. Please let me know when I would be able to get prototype samples of the SPI version.

    Thank you,

    Randy Holmberg

  • Hello Randy,

Glad to hear you are starting out with the evaluation board. We do not have an exact date as of now but are expecting SPI variant to be released before the end of the year. Device functionality will be similar, and the datasheet already contains information on the SPI variant in case you are curious are curious about registers and other SPI specifications.

    Best,

    Isaac
