Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8301,
In our application we need both DRV8301 and DRV8303 motor driver IC's. DRV8301 has an integrated buck converter. For our application, we do not require a buck converter. We have left the pins of buck converter floating.
For both IC's we are making one layout, by combining the footprints of DRV8301 & DRV8303 on the same PCB. We will match the footprint of DRV8301 and DRV8303 in such a way that Pin#1 of DRV8303 and Pin#4 of DRV8301 will be alligned. With this scheme, only 3 pins of both the ICs wont match i.e. DRV8301 50, 51(PH) and 52(BST_BK) pins and DRV8303 46, 47 and 48 (GND) pins.
So, we are adding 0 OHM(0402) on that pins to provide both function.
Is there any issue if we are adding 0 OHM and then connect ground to GND pins of DRV8303?
