DRV8305: nFault

Lab01b is v/f open-loop control, it doesn't use any motor and hardware parameters, so the issue should be from the hardware design.

Don't connect the motor, and run the lab01b to check if the PWM outputs are right on both input and output of DRV8305.

The same issue is cropping up in Lab 02b.

What is the relation between the shunt resistor value and USER_ADC_FULL_SCALE_CURRENT_A 

Yes, that's normal. If the lab01b and lab01c don't work well. The other following labs shouldn't work with the same issue.

USER_ADC_FULL_SCALE_CURRENT_A value is hardware dependent and should be based on the current sensing and scaling to the ADC
input. Please take a look at chapter 5.2 (Hardware Prerequisites)  and 4.1 (Currents and Voltages) of  InstaSPIN-FOC and InstaSPIN-MOTION User's Guide (Rev. H) (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruhj1h/spruhj1h.pdf) that have a detailed description of these.

Where can I get information about the type of fault, from SPI 

The document doesn't have info about CSA in DRV8305, It has all the info for the external CSA but not about the integrated CSA of DRV8305.

Can you point me to any tutorial or working example where csa is being set by spi or the fault type is being read by spi.

The code of write and read DRV8305 registers has been included the InstaSPIN example lab. You might refer to the example lab and take a look at the datasheet of the DRV8305 to read/write the registers as below codes.

The USER_ADC_FULL_SCALE_CURRENT_A  is related to the shunt resistor and CSA gain of the DRV8305 as described in the section mentioned above or as below.
