Hi,

Good Day. I have a customer who is working with DRV8312, DRV8332. Please see below his query for your reference. Thank you very much.

Can we set the deadtime on Drv8312 and Drv8332 products? Can it be used with an mcu without deadtime? What are the risks?

    Hi Ray,

    Dead time appears fixed in DRV83x2 to 5.5ns. This is likely the dead time inserted by the DRV8312/8332 due to internal handshaking between the HS FET being "off' and the LS FET being "on".


    Additional MCU dead time can be used for more dead time to reduce risk of shoot through currents.
