DRV8703-Q1: Vref value

Part Number: DRV8703-Q1

Dear support team,

I have a question about "Vref" value using DRV8903.

On our board, Vref  value is lower than expected. For example, AVDD = 5V, R1=18kohm, R2=13kohm, then the expected Vref should be 2.097V, but the actual Vref is 2.03V. We measured 4 board, and found each Vref is around 3% lower than expected. Does DRV8903 have any resistance inside the device? Please let us know why the actual Vref is lower than expected and how should we fix the resistor value of R1 and R2 (Vref resistor)?

Best Regards,

Matsunaga

  • Hi Matsunaga san,

Thank you for your question related to DRV8703-Q1. VREF pin has resistance inside. Please refer Datasheet page 11. It can be 175Kohm by SCL settings.

I would like to recommend to check AVDD voltage as well. It has some variation as specified on Datasheet page 8

    regards
