DRV8432: For audio AMP reference design

Part Number: DRV8432

Hi,

Does DRV8432 can support to driving speaker as a audio class-D amplifier?

My customer said their end customer suggest transfers I2S signals to PWM signals and next uses the PWM signals to drive this chip.

But I can't find any document for this reference design, do you ever heard using DRV8432 as audio class-D amplifier?

The application is 100W+100W (@8ohm THD0.05% 20-20kHz) and 120W+120W (@4ohm Non-clipping) speaker.

Thanks!

Jeff

  • Hello, Jeff,

I also didn't find DRV8432 class-D amplifier reference design or application note. But, I think it can support audio class-D amplifier application since it can support a short propagation delay and 500kHz operating.
