MCT8316A: i2c address issue

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

The MCT8316A does not have a configuration pin for the i2c address. Is the i2c address fixed for this chip? That is, the Targei ID can only be 0000000b?

Could you help resolve this case? Thanks.

I2C address on MCT8316A device is fixed to 0x00. this is documented in production errata FAQ here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/motor-drivers-group/motor-drivers/f/motor-drivers-forum/1066777/faq-production-device-information

May I know customer use case here? can customer fix the I2C address in their software to this fixed value.

Thanks for your help.

There are 15 BLDC motors in the customer's system, and fixed addresses are OK. Each 8316a I2C can be added with a switch to enable the required channel-fixed EEPROM to be selected through IO.
