MCT8316ZTEVM: How to replace MCT8316ZT with MCT8316ZR

Hi team,

Customer wants to evaluate MCT8316ZR by using MCT8316ZTEVM.

First of all, I want to confirm some questions as below.

1. Is it possible to evaluate MCT8316ZR by using MCT8316ZTEVM?

2. Are there any GUIs to control MCT8316ZR?

I will ask concretely how to evaluate MCT8316ZR by using MCT8316ZTEVM after I could confirm things I need to clarify in advance.

    Hi Takahashi-san, 

    1. Yes, you'll need to do the following steps:

    - Replace the MCT8316Z0T device with the MCT8316Z0R device
    - Remove the H/W variant resistors in the H/W Variants box on the EVM (red)
    - Remove R17 (red)
    - Populate with 0-ohm or solder bridge the SPI resistors R13-R16 (blue)

    2. We do not have any published GUIs for MCT8316Z0R at the moment. You can remove the SPI jumpers from the jumper bridge J6 (STE, SCK, SIMO, SOMI) and use an external MCU to jumper SPI connections and communicate over SPI via external MCU.
