DRV8343-Q1: low side current feedback gain error with input filter

Part Number: DRV8343-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA293

Hello Team,

I have a question about the half bridge driver DRV8343-Q1 SPI version

Here, the low-side current feedback concerns: What does the gain Error formula look like when you use an input filter? like for example INA293 on page 16, Can I get a formula to calculate the additional gain error?

Thanks,

  • Hi Muffin,

You can use the same equations to calculate the input filter resistors:

Input resistances for the DRV8343-Q1 is 10kohm.

    Thanks,
    Aaron

  • Hi Aaron,

Thanks, and there is an additional question to this part:

    - is calibration data stored in the DRV8343 for the calibration routine DRV8343-Q1, data sheet page 37 / 38, or does the microcontroller earth have to measure and save the error on Sox itself and then carry out the correction calculation itself?

    - is there a timing diagram for the software?

    Thanks,

  • Hi Muffin,

Sorry I did not see the reply as it was marked as resolved before.

Calibration is performed in DRV8343-Q1 (SPI device only) but saved in volatile memory, meaning after the device is reset (VM<UVLO) or put into sleep mode (ENABLE = low), it will lose its register contents and calibration offsets. You will need to perform the calibration at startup so that the CSA offsets are calculated and saved while the logic core is enabled. I don't have timing diagrams of how the CSA calibration switches are switched, all I know is from datasheet it takes 50us for auto-calibration to complete.

    Thanks,
    Aaron
