Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET
is it possible to connect multiple EVM's to the same PC? My customer wants to drive 3 motors simultaneously. Would the opening of 3 instances of the GUI allow to resolve the USB connections?
Thank you!

Hi Lenio,
I think it might be possible if you choose a different serial port for each GUI. I'm going to check with the app engineer who worked on this project to confirm.

Hi Lenio,
GUI composer supports only one instance of a specific EVM GUI desktop app run in a computer. I think it is possible to have one instance of a cloud based GUI app and one instance of a desktop GUI app connect to two separate EVMs by choosing the appropriate serial port. Although, I have not tried it myself so i cannot guarantee it will work.
The customer should have an EVM with firmware version 0.7. This will work with version 0.1.12 GUI app only. Customer should not update to newer version of GUI unless they have the ability to update firmware using an MSP-FET. Here’s the link for cloud based app version 0.1.12 https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/MotorDriversBSM/DRV8434S/ver/0.1.12/ . Desktop installer can be downloaded from https://dev.ti.com/gallery/dl/MotorDriversBSM/DRV8434S/ver/0.1.12?platform=win
Let me know if this solution works for them?
