Hello Team,
is there an over-current protection for Shunt Amplifier output (Pin 16, SO) and linear regulator AVDD output (Pin 14, AVDD) implemented? Or any other protection?
Many Thanks
Josef

Hi Josef,
Thank you for your interest in DRV8702-Q1. Shunt amplifier output and AVDD does not have over current protection. However just following situation happens when those pins short to GND.
-SO: Device current sense feedback invalid.
-AVDD: Device non-operational. Power dissipation through AVDD

Hello,
thank you for your reply. Actually the question from Mr. Warta is coming from my side.
Because there is no over current for both pins, is it possibe to get an electrical overstress issue on the chip, if it is shorted to GND?

Martin
Hi,
Since those pins cannot drive high current, they will not have electrical overstress issue.
