Back EMF signals are not detected from the driver IC.

My question to the forum is that we are doing a BLDC sensorless motor controller project to control the speed of ceiling fan, even though we have given input of 400V to the driver IC, the back emf signals are not detected which in turn activates the microcontroller. The motor we are using is a ceiling fan motor which is bldc. Please provide us the solution for this problem?

Hi Ajay,

Which BLDC device are you using? None of our BLDC motor drivers support 400V.

ECN30266PN is the motor driver IC and we have interfaced it with the Renesas R5F104BAAFP microcontroller, which is an MCU of the series RL78/G14 Renesas MCU

Hi Ajay,

Texas Instruments doesn't have any motor drivers with the part number of ECN30266PN, are you using a TI motor driver? I googled ECN30266PN and was unable to find any results. Could you help give me some further clarification on the motor driver you are using?

No, I am asking in general, not for any particular motor driver IC. Suppose we are using Texas Instrument's motor driver IC along with thee same microcontroller as specified above, if thee same problem arises, what is the cause for that?
