Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:
Schematic is as follows:
1) Reading the MCT8316EEPROM data through the monolithic IIC interface is inconsistent with the manual.
2) the design board (no motor connected, DRVOFF low, DIR low, BRAKE low) outputs a fault signal on the nFault pin after power up.
Could you help check these 2 questions? Thanks.

They've added 500ms delay between write and read.
2. Can you introduce a 200 us delay between every byte transferred over the I2C bus and check if this issue still persists?
After introduce a 200 us delay, the issue still persist.

Can you try programming the recommended default values (as shown in Table 9-3 in the datasheet) in EEPROM, power cycle the device and check if the issue still persists?
