DRV8323: Dead Time accuracy

What kind of tolerance should one expect with a given dead time setting in the OCP register? For example, if 100 ns is selected, would we expect it to be within 20% (80ns - 120 ns)?

Since the total dead time will be dependent on the FET VGS response in addition to the programmed dead time, is there an recommended method to measure just the programmed dead time?

Hi Mark,

Let me look into this and get back to you. Regarding measuring the dead time, The DRV8323 inserts dead time once the VGS voltage drops to about 2V. At the end of the dead time the other gate will begin switching. One way to measure this could be to set a trigger to trigger when VGS reaches 2V, and then measure the time between when VGS reaches about 2V to when the gate of the other MOSFET starts to switch.
