MCF8316AEVM: PMCF8316A

Part Number: MCF8316AEVM

In January, via two separate orders, I received two MCF8316 EVMs within a couple days of each other.

I subsequently learned some EVMs were released with pre-production devices (see below):

   

Others were production parts (see below):

 

You need a different GUI for the preproduction devices https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/BLDC/MCF8316A_GUI/ver/1.0.1/.

Production parts work with https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/BLDC/MCF8316A_GUI/ver/1.1.5/.

    Hi Chuck,

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Going forward the EVMs should have production parts populated. The EVMs you ordered were ordered around the time of the release to market, which is likely why one of them was a PMCF8316A device.
