HI support team.
Which register should be used to set SPI_FLT_REP?
I can't find it in the datasheet.
What is the default value of SPI_FLT_REP?
Best Regards,
Higa

Hi Higa-san,
We will need to discuss this more with the team and get back to you. This bit was changed to a reserved bit, and I need to understand the background on the reserved bit.

Hi Higa-san,
I am still in correspondence with the team, but am making progress in understanding more on this. Will let you know once I finalize all the information.

Hi Higa-san,
The SPI_FLT_REP bit is marked as reserved in the datasheet and it is defaulted to 1, meaning that SPI errors are not reported on nFAULT or in the SPI_FLT bit. It may be another week and a half till I know the full background on this since the main colleague who is familiar with this currently on vacation.
Regards,
Anthony Lodi
Hi Anthony-san
Thank you for your support.
I am looking forward to your report.

Hi Higa-san,
Sounds good, thanks for your patience on this.

Hi Anthony-san
Do you have any update?
I received a reminder from my customer.
Best Regards,
Higa
Hi Higa-san,
I don't have any update yet, the coworker who is familiar with the background on this has been out of office the past couple weeks. I will try to see if I can get a response by the end of this week. Regarding the information I have received so far it looks like that bit is reserved and the default is to disable SPI fault reporting.
Regards,
Anthony Lodi
Hi Higa-san,
The coworker who is familiar with the background on this is still out of office, I will update you as soon as I get an answer. Sorry for the delay!
Regards,
Anthony Lodi
Hi Higa-san,
I got confirmation on this issue: although the datasheet shows this bit as reserved, it was not intended to be reserved. We will update the datasheet to reflect this. The SPI_FLT_REP bit is located at bit 1 of the CONTROL_3 register. Setting this bit to 0 will enable SPI fault reporting on the nFAULT pin, and setting the bit to 1 will result in the SPI fault reporting to be disabled. Thank you for your patience in waiting for a response!

Anthony Lodi
Hi Anthony-san
I understand that the data sheet will be updated.
Thank you for your kind support!
Thanks and Best Regards,
Higa
