DRV8311: No power of AVDD

Part Number: DRV8311

My customer is testing DRV8311.

But there is a problem.

1. The 3.3V output of the AVDD is not available. Is there a reason you can expect it?

2. Compared to the EVM , the EVM is a combination of THERMAL PAD, AGND, and PGND. My customer separated THERMAL PAD and PGND, could this be a reason?

Hi David,

Few things to check:

1) Is VIN_AVDD supplied (>3.3V)?

2) Is VM powered on and above VM_UVLO?

3) Is there more an 0.3V of separation between the grounds? The device expects <0.3V between PGND and AGND.

4) Can you share if this is pre-production PDRV8311 silicon or released DRV8311 silicon? Check the die marking and lot trace code on top of the IC.
